In Ukraine, an average car was spotted with very unusual license plates (photo)

Recently, a car with one of the coolest license plates in Ukraine was photographed in Odesa. Despite the fact that it is an ordinary Volkswagen Passat (and most likely a “salvage” from America), it bears the state sign OO 0001 OO.

The so-called “oldies” well remember that during the Kuchma/Yushchenko era (transition period), there were license plates VR (Verkhovna Rada), KM (Cabinet of Ministers), II, and NN (non-existent 28 region) and OO (in common parlance, car owners with such numbers were called “Especially Cool*rs”). So, it turns out, something similar can still be seen today.

In the publication vehicles.exclusive, the license plate of this VW sparked a lot of controversy, as it is still unknown what this sign is and to which region it belongs. After all, the car was spotted in Odesa, although its owner is registered in Tulchyn (Vinnytsia region). Could it be a personalized number? The question is rhetorical (as it doesn’t resemble a personalized plate), but if not, such a license plate definitely costs no less (and maybe more) than the car itself. P.S. Interestingly, 6 years ago, this number was assigned to a Mercedes:

8 years ago on a Range Rover…

9 years ago on an Audi…

What kind of number is this, and who keeps “re-hanging” it on such different cars?
