Naftogaz is launching a pilot project for gas station complexes (GSC) of the Glusco network under its own trademark U.GO. The first phase of 30 GSCs will begin operating in Kyiv and the region in September, with the rest following the agreement of all necessary legal procedures with the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA).
Recall that in May of the current year, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to transfer the property of LLC “GLUSCO UKRAINE” and LLC “GLUSCO RETAIL,” seized within the framework of criminal proceedings, to the management of LLC “Naftogaz Oil Trading” in order to prevent the risk of an emergency situation in the energy sector, namely, a shortage of gasoline and diesel fuel.
In total, 172 objects were transferred to the management of LLC “Naftogaz Oil Trading.” Among them are 126 gas station buildings, unfinished structures, land plots, and properties located in various regions of Ukraine, including temporarily occupied territories and combat zones.
“The company focused on meeting market needs as quickly as possible. Therefore, we consciously decided to start work even before the full completion of the change in the corporate style of the GSC. In addition, this step will allow us to resume the work of seized assets as soon as possible, provide employment to people, and pay taxes and fees to the budget of Ukraine,” said Volodymyr Bychkov, director of LLC “Naftogaz Oil Trading.”
