Truck Collides with Man in Aerial Bucket at 10 Meters Height

Dangerous Incident Involving a Truck and an Electrician

An unusual incident occurred in Denham Springs, Louisiana: a truck driver crashed into an electrician who was working in a raised bucket at a significant height. Despite the impact, the worker remained unharmed thanks to his safety equipment. An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is currently underway.

Dashcam footage shows the truck driving past electricians who were standing on the roadside. One of the workers in the bucket was servicing a traffic light at the intersection. The truck driver, despite warnings, struck the bucket with his trailer, causing the worker to be flipped upside down. However, the safety belt prevented him from falling.

“I don’t understand how the driver even attempted to make such a turn without considering the dimensions,” said Fred Rayford, director of the transportation department.

Authorities emphasized that the use of safety belts is mandatory for working at height. However, it remains unclear why there were no additional safety measures on site, such as cones or barricades. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain serious injuries and did not even require hospitalization.

This case once again highlights the importance of adhering to safety rules, especially during road work. Although the incident ended without serious consequences, it could have had a completely different outcome. Local authorities continue to investigate the details to prevent similar situations in the future.
