The price of a barely driven Ferrari SF90 has dropped to an incredibly low level

The luxurious Ferrari SF90 lost value after minimal mileage

Luxury cars, even exclusive ones like the Ferrari SF90, are not immune to rapid depreciation. This supercar, considered a breakthrough in the world of high-performance vehicles, lost a significant portion of its value after just 185 miles of driving.

The owner of this example paid over $700,000 for the car, adding a satin protective film to the paint. However, when sold at auction, the car went for only $579,000, meaning a loss of over $125,000 for minimal mileage.

Expensive options couldn’t save it from depreciation

The car was equipped with numerous premium options that significantly increased its initial price. Among them:

“This is a staggering loss – $675-$757 for every mile driven,” the auction description states.

Despite Ferrari having already discontinued production of the SF90 Stradale, the company continues to produce the more extreme SF90 XX version. The model remains a technological masterpiece, combining power with relative comfort for everyday use.

The interior of this example is finished in Rosso Ferrari red leather with carbon fiber accents, emphasizing the car’s sporty character. Despite this, even such expensive materials and technologies couldn’t prevent a sharp drop in market value.

In the world of supercars, such situations are not uncommon, especially when it comes to models that are not part of limited editions. Even innovative technologies and impressive specifications often give way to the factor of time and changes in market preferences. The future successor to the SF90, which is rumored to already be in development, will have a tough task surpassing its predecessor, especially given the anticipated release of the new flagship F80.
