Unique Bugatti W16 Mistral: Copper Shade and Silver Rose
Copper is not the first color that comes to mind when it comes to Bugatti. However, it is this very shade that makes the presented W16 Mistral so striking. The open-top hypercar, created under the Sur Mesure customization program, proves that earthy tones suit it no less than familiar colors, while maintaining all the restraint and sophistication that distinguish Bugatti from other cars.
Commissioned by a Writer and Businessman
This Mistral was commissioned by Argentine writer and businessman Alejandro G. Remmers, who is believed to already own one of the rare Bugatti Centodieci models. His Mistral, named Le Retour du Jeune Prince (The Return of the Young Prince), shares its name with one of his books and is inspired by it.

Design Inspired by the Poetry of the Moon
Like the book, this Mistral appeals to the poetic beauty of the moon. The car is painted in a brilliant copper color with bronze accents. Depending on the viewing angle, it can appear brown or have a bright orange hue.
In addition to the unique color, Bugatti created a special horseshoe-shaped radiator grille for the car with black vertical slats. The outer edge of the Bugatti logo is finished in gold. The body features a constellation of hundreds of silver stars that extend along the doors, rear side panels, and onto the rear wing. The engine cover has dark orange carbon fiber panels.
Interior with Two Leather Shades
The interior of this Mistral is also unlike any other Bugatti. It is upholstered in two different leather shades — Terre d’Or and Driftwood — which cover the seats, center console, door panels, dashboard, and steering wheel. The headrests are adorned with embroidered silver stars.
Silver Rose in the Gear Selector
The central element of the Mistral’s interior is the gear selector. Inside a glass casing sits a detailed rose, made from silver based on a 3D scan of a real flower. There is no doubt that this small detail costs as much as, or even more than, a used hatchback.
This car is a vivid example of how the Sur Mesure program allows clients to realize their boldest ideas, transforming a hypercar into a true work of art that reflects the owner’s personality. The combination of an unusual color, literary inspiration, and unique details, such as the silver rose, makes this Mistral not just a car, but a luxurious artifact that emphasizes the exclusivity and personalized approach of Bugatti in creating its models.
