New Grounded C1 Utility Vehicle
Grounded has introduced a new C1 model, which is offered with either an all-electric or a hybrid powertrain. This vehicle can be used as a mobile command center, a mobile medical facility, or a vehicle for disaster relief operations.
Configurations and Purpose
Designed for government and medical fleets, the C1 is based on a commercial electric truck platform from Harbinger and is available in three different configurations. For police departments, a mobile command center is offered, providing secure communications, reliable power, and mobility for coordinating operations during extreme weather conditions, large-scale events, or inter-agency emergencies.
The company did not provide much information, but the images show that the vehicle has a large open space with tables and various displays. A restroom, a flexible seating area, and two isolated compartments are also visible.
Medical and Emergency Functionality
The C1 can also be converted into a mobile clinic, allowing municipalities and non-governmental organizations to provide mammography, vaccination, screening, and other preventive services. In this configuration, a reception area and a restroom are visible. There is also an examination area with a table and medical equipment.
The third configuration is focused on disaster response. The company noted that it provides resilience and adaptability through increased range, autonomous power, and modular interiors that can support shelter coordination, supply distribution, and emergency aid efforts.
Customization and Technical Features
Although specific details are scarce, the C1 will be highly customizable, as the company mentioned several wheelbase options and three trim levels. The most basic level is called Core and has a simplified and economical interior. The Advanced and Pro trims add more features, including advanced communication equipment and increased range.
As for powertrains, the C1 will be offered with all-electric and hybrid options. The electric version can be supplemented with a gasoline generator to increase range, as well as a rooftop solar panel and a separate battery for living needs.

Technical Details and Availability
The company did not specify powertrain details, but Harbinger uses an electric motor with 440 hp and 1,140 lb-ft of torque. They also offer a scalable battery pack that comes in 35 kWh sections, which can be increased depending on needs.
As for the hybrid variant, it likely mirrors the hybrid motorhome created by THOR Industries and Harbinger. It has a total range of 500 miles and an electric range of 150 miles.
For now, there are more questions than answers, but Grounded is already accepting orders. Deliveries are expected to start in the second quarter of 2026, and the price will depend on the configuration and trim level.
The emergence of versatile vehicles like the C1 could significantly change the approach to providing emergency and medical services, especially in areas where traditional infrastructure is limited. The ability to quickly adapt the vehicle to specific needs makes it a valuable tool for various sectors, from healthcare to crisis management. The technologies underlying the C1 also reflect a general trend towards cleaner and more efficient solutions in commercial transportation.
