Your New Favorite Supercar Lighter Than a Mazda MX-5 and Equipped with a Manual Transmission and a V12 Engine

The New Garagisti & Co GP1 Supercar

Previously, naturally aspirated engines and manual transmissions were the standard for ordinary cars. Now they have become rare and available only to the wealthiest enthusiasts seeking an ‘analog’ driving experience. Garagisti & Co has introduced its GP1—a limited series of 25 units priced at over £2.45 million each.

The car’s name comes from a term used for private racers in the 1950s-1960s. The design of the GP1 was inspired by classic supercars such as the Lancia Stratos Zero and the Lamborghini Countach. The interior is almost devoid of screens, and the center console is reminiscent of the interiors of legendary models from the past.

Technical Features

Under the hood of the GP1 is a 6.6-liter naturally aspirated V12 from Italtecnica, producing 789 hp and revving up to 9000 rpm. The car’s weight is only 1000 kg, making it 40% lighter than modern hybrid supercars. For comparison, the Gordon Murray T.50 has less power (654 hp) but reaches up to 11,500 rpm.

Despite being a new company, Garagisti & Co’s GP1 demonstrates that simplicity and lightness can remain relevant even in the modern world of complex technology. This is a car for those who appreciate mechanical purity and the emotions of driving.

In addition to its impressive technical characteristics, the GP1 stands out with its unique design, which combines retro style with modern aerodynamic solutions. Its limited series makes this car even more exclusive for collectors and fans of true automotive art.
