Recall of Ford Vehicles Due to Serious Problems
Automaker Ford has announced a recall of over 227,000 vehicles due to a number of quality and safety issues. Among them, over 163,000 Bronco SUVs require inspection and re-securing of the front seats, and nearly 59,000 Explorer, Corsair, and Aviator models may have defects in the windshield glass.
Details of Seat and Glass Problems
Owners of Ford and Lincoln vehicles will receive official notifications about the need to visit service centers. The largest number of affected vehicles are Broncos manufactured between 2020 and 2022. It has been found that the seat height adjustment bolts may loosen or fall out, leading to squeaking and also reducing protection during an accident.

Another problem concerns the windshields of new Explorer, Corsair, and Aviator models. Due to a technological defect in the lamination process, bubbles resembling snowflakes may appear on the glass. Ford plans to conduct inspections and replace the glass as necessary, noting that most defects are detected within the first three months of operation.
Additional Problems with the Heating System
Nearly 7,000 2026 Econoline vans have also been recalled due to potential malfunctions in the heating system, which may impair visibility through the windshield. This is not Ford’s first recall recently – the company previously recalled 175,000 SUVs due to problems with wind deflectors.

These incidents highlight the importance of constant quality monitoring at all stages of production, especially when it comes to the safety of drivers and passengers. For owners of the affected models, it is critically important to contact official dealers to rectify the defects, even if there are no external signs of a problem. Such measures will help avoid potential risks on the road and ensure the long-term reliability of the vehicles.
