GFG Style, a design firm founded by Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugaro, presented its first custom work for a distinguished client. Here’s the Peralta S – a unique, wedge-shaped supercar, reportedly built on modern Maserati foundations, with a handcrafted aluminum body and an interior tailored to the owner’s wishes. Named after Mexican collector Carlos Peralta, this special car carries more than just his name – it reflects his refined tastes. The Peralta S was designed by Fabrizio Giugaro, whose idea had a heavy influence on the design, remaining one of the most memorable designs of the era. The body is handmade from aluminum with a mirror-polished finish that harmoniously transitions to large glass surfaces, creating a mesmerizing linear appearance.
The design continues the wedge theme popular in the ’70s, featuring “one continuous arch from front to back,” giving the impression it’s always slicing through the air. The side windows lift upwards, resembling gull wings, and the cover flips forward for easy cockpit access. The hood vents, rear spoiler, and tail elements subtly hint at the design language, but the Peralta S adheres to a cleaner and more sophisticated style. Retro-futuristic wheels, compact side mirrors, and sharp LEDs complete the exterior, pushing the boundaries of contemporary luxury design without being fantastical. As for technical specifications, the Peralta S is described as a “mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car,” with an aluminum and carbon fiber alloy body that lends it a lightweight construction aimed at high performance.
Although exact specifications have not been officially disclosed, Italian media suggest the car is based on the Maserati MC20. Some display elements seem to confirm this connection, though the Peralta S features a very exclusive two-seat cabin combining leather, aluminum, and carbon fiber. The engine is likely similar to that of the MC20, meaning it includes a carbon fiber tub and a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine. This engine boasts 621 horsepower (463 kW / 630 PS) and 730 Nm of torque, delivered to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. In terms of performance, it is likely capable of competing with the best sports cars on the market without being a production showpiece.
