Problems with the Aston Martin Valkyrie: Millionaire files a lawsuit
The $3.5 million Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar was supposed to be the pinnacle of automotive art. However, for one German owner, it turned into a real nightmare. In three years, he drove only 441 kilometers and then faced technical problems, legal disputes, and a dangerous situation on the road.
The owner, who spoke under the pseudonym “Kuntze,” said he bought the car in 2022 for 3 million euros. However, instead of pleasure, he received a series of problems. The most serious was the failure of the headphone system, which was supposed to protect the driver from the excessive engine noise. Because of this, he almost collided with an ambulance that was signaling him.
Technical malfunctions and disputes
The problems began almost immediately after the purchase. First, the high-voltage system failed, then it turned out that the “Rocket Locker” function, which stabilizes the hydraulic suspension, had been removed from the car without warning. Aston Martin refused to return the money, instead proposing to charge the owner 55,000 euros for the mileage.
“I’m tired of Aston Martin. This car has more malfunctions than all my other cars combined,” Kuntze stated in court.
The company, for its part, claims that the damages arose from improper maintenance, not factory defects. They also hinted that Aston Martin hypercars are not intended for active use, expecting owners to drive no more than 1000 km per year.
The court suggested the parties reach a settlement, but Kuntze refused. The case may now be transferred to a British court, which would complicate the process for the German owner. This story raises questions about the quality of exclusive cars and the justification of their cost, especially when they fail to meet the expectations of even the wealthiest clients.
