We are sure Elon Musk has seen a lot in his life. But we’re not sure if the glorious city of Zhytomyr will “catch his eye,” where the founder of Tesla and SpaceX was kindly invited by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. On the other hand, it’s about visiting the Serhiy Korolyov Museum of Cosmonautics, moreover, one of the main engineers of SpaceX is Ukrainian and originally from Zhytomyr.
Today is the birthday of the great Ukrainian scientist, rocket engineer and spacecraft designer – Serhiy Korolyov. Indeed, he was one of the very best. I’d like to invite his longtime fan @elonmusk to #Ukraine, to see The Serhiy Korolyov Museum of Cosmonautics.

“Today is the birthday of the great Ukrainian scientist, rocket engineer and spacecraft designer Serhiy Korolyov. Indeed, he was one of the best. I want to invite his longtime fan Elon Musk to Ukraine to see the Serhiy Korolyov Museum of Cosmonautics,” Zelensky wrote on Twitter, retweeting Musk’s July post about speaking with Korolyov’s family.
I spoke with Korolev’s family today. He was one of the very best. Корольов / Королёв.

It should be noted that Zhytomyr native Oleksiy Pakhunov has been working at SpaceX for several years and was responsible for the successful landing of Falcon 9 in 2015.
He currently works as a senior software developer in the Flight Software group at SpaceX.
By the way, this fact has led to the myth that Elon Musk studied in Zhytomyr.

And did you know that at the age of 28, young Musk bought one of the most expensive cars on the planet?
P.S. We should also invite Musk to Berdychiv — who knows, they might set up production of the Tesla minibus there since, if anyone knows, it’s the locals who know how to refit and transform them from cargo to passenger transport. But that’s after the Tesla factory opens in Transcarpathia, planned for April 1, 2021, by the way.
