Special Value of the Car
One of the rarest Zonda cars has been crashed, and this particular specimen held special personal significance. This supercar belongs to Horacio Pagani himself and was involved in an accident during the brand’s annual “Raduno” tour through Italy. It is unclear who exactly was behind the wheel at the time of the incident.
Unlike many other models that were upgraded to the 760 series, this Zonda remained in its original specification, making it one of the most valuable among its lineup.
Ownership History
This car is the fourth of 25 Zonda F Roadsters produced by the Italian manufacturer. Its ownership history is as interesting as the car itself. It was initially purchased by Benny Caiola, Pagani’s first customer, after whom the Huayra BC model is named. After Caiola’s death in 2010, the car became part of Horacio Pagani’s personal collection.
Accident Details
Information about the accident is limited, but several images of the aftermath have appeared on social media. The white roadster appears to have collided with a stone wall on a narrow country road, with the main impact on the rear. One of the photos shows a blue van with damaged front end nearby, which may indicate possible contact between the two vehicles before the Pagani hit the wall.
Witnesses report that staff quickly covered the damaged car with a black tarp, but not before photos were taken showing one of the rear wheels misaligned. Such damage indicates serious issues with the suspension underneath the carbon body.

Consequences for the Car
Additionally, the engine cover is raised and damaged, and the carbon fiber bumper and diffuser are undoubtedly shattered and will require repair. Interestingly, the front part of the body is also noted to be in an unusual position after the impact, which may indicate its damage.
If this Zonda belonged to someone other than Horacio, the owner would likely send it to Pagani for repair with a subsequent upgrade to the 760 model. However, since the car belongs to the brand founder himself, it is assumed that it will simply be repaired, returning it to its original state.

This case highlights how important a car’s history and its connection to the brand founder are. Rare models like the Zonda F Roadster often become not just collectible objects but also symbols of the manufacturer’s heritage. Restoring the car to its original state, rather than upgrading it, may be evidence of the desire to preserve the authenticity and emotional value associated with this specimen.
