Owner Drove This Porsche for Two Years and Sold It for Almost $2000 More Than a New One

Prestigious German cars usually depreciate rapidly immediately after leaving the dealership, but there are exceptions here too. As an example – a 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera T, which was sold for an amount exceeding its original price by almost $2,000, despite two years of use and a mileage of about 14,400 kilometers.

This case once again proves that the Porsche 911 remains one of the most desirable sports cars in the world.

Although the Carrera T does not belong to the legendary Porsche GT series, it is one of the most driver-oriented versions of the iconic sports car. Its base price of $116,600 at the time of release was considered a good deal. Equipped with a manual transmission, rear-wheel drive, and a limited-slip differential, this car promises true driving pleasure.

This particular example was sold at the Cars & Bids auction for $133 thousand, which is slightly above its initial cost of $131,320 – thanks to a number of successful options. Among them are an extended fuel tank, adaptive sports seats, a surround-view system, the Sport Chrono package, a lane change assist, and a front axle lift system. Considering that a new 2025 Carrera T now starts at $138,700, this nearly new car looks like a reasonable purchase.

The car’s body is painted in GT Silver metallic, it sits on original 20 and 21-inch black wheels. The restrained but elegant appearance undoubtedly contributed to the high residual value. The interior is done mostly in black leather with fabric inserts on the seats and silver stitching. The only drawback is the excess of glossy plastic in the center tunnel area.

Under the hood works a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine that produces 379 horsepower and 449 Nm of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, with a top speed of 295 km/h.

Of course, the GT3 or Turbo S versions have over 500 and 640 horsepower respectively, but for city driving the Carrera T is probably the ideal option. The seller is undoubtedly pleased with the auction result, as the funds received will allow them to pay off the car loan before the transfer of ownership.
