Miami: Driver Flees from Police and Crashes into Truck
In Miami, a man named Eduardo Barbaro Gonzalez attempted to flee from police after being stopped on suspicion of drug trafficking. Before escaping, he mockingly told the officer “ha-ha, psycho!” and started to run. However, his pursuit lasted only two blocks — he crashed into a truck and sustained a leg injury that prevented him from continuing his escape.
During the arrest, Gonzalez tried to conceal his identity, but police identified him using a fingerprint scanner. It turned out there were already eight arrest warrants out for him. He now faces a series of charges, including resisting arrest, fleeing, theft, and drug possession.
Long Criminal History
Gonzalez was taken to the hospital, where he tried to use a fake name, but his true identity was established using technology. His criminal past includes serious offenses, and he now faces a lengthy prison sentence. This case once again proves that attempts to flee from law enforcement rarely end successfully.
Miami police note that such incidents often lead to additional charges, as suspects try to avoid responsibility for previous offenses. In this case, Gonzalez not only failed to avoid arrest but also received new charges due to his attempt to escape and providing false information.
