Driver of a car with foreign plates bit a police officer and tried to eat the license

A real drama occurred recently in Lviv. A driver stopped for a traffic violation bit a police officer. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs Communications Department, patrol officers stopped a BMW 320 sedan with foreign plates. Its driver ignored the ‘Straight Ahead’ sign and made a U-turn in an unauthorized area on Chornovola Avenue. Driver of a car with foreign plates bit a police officer and tried to eat the license

Initially, the driver admitted the violation and handed over the license to the law enforcers.

However, when patrol officers started to check the documents in the database, the driver snatched the license from the police, crumpled it, and tried to eat it. When the patrol officer attempted to retrieve the license from the driver’s mouth, he bit him on the finger, drawing blood. Later it turned out that the violator tried to cheat – he did not swallow the license but hid it under his clothing. It was also revealed that the owner of the car with foreign plates had previously received a protocol for drunk driving. Moreover, his license looked suspicious and showed signs of falsification (the real license was probably seized).
