Checkpoints have appeared in almost every settlement in Ukraine. When planning trips by car, this should be taken into consideration. To avoid misunderstandings, it is necessary to follow simple checkpoint passage rules developed by the Ministry of Defense.
Rules for Passing Through Checkpoints in Ukraine:
- reduce vehicle speed when approaching a checkpoint
- prepare documents for inspection in advance
- turn off headlights
- turn on hazard lights
- do not record videos
- do not exit the vehicle without military permission
- answer military personnel’s questions clearly
- be ready to open the trunk and inspect the car interior upon request
- after inspection and permission, continue driving and do not accelerate suddenly.
