The American atelier Mil-Spec often takes on tuning Hummers and usually focuses on improving their already decent off-road capabilities. However, this time the tuners have taken a different route and created a track-oriented Hummer H1.
They took the military version of the HMMV with canvas doors and roof as the base. Now before us is a stunning hot rod.
To begin with, the car was significantly lowered – its ground clearance was reduced by 18 cm. Low-profile Pirelli P-Zero tires were also installed.
But the biggest modification was made to the engine. The turbocharged 6.6-liter V8 Duramax now develops 800 hp and has a locomotive-like torque of 2035 Nm.
Surprisingly, the stock transmission can handle this power. The chassis had to be reworked, and brakes with six-piston calipers were installed. Below, in the video, you can see how this marvel drives.
