Special Offer on Tesla Cybertruck
Tesla has launched a new financial offer for Cybertruck buyers: 0% APR provided they add the Full Self-Driving option for $8,000 and make a minimum down payment of 4% of the cost. If the buyer declines the down payment, the interest rate increases to 0.99%.
To take advantage of the offer, customers must arrange a loan for 60 months and receive their vehicle by the end of June. For example, for the AWD model priced at $79,990 without FSD and with a standard rate of 5.54%, the monthly payment would be $1,571, and the total amount including fees would be approximately $96,655. With FSD and the 0.99% APR offer, the total amount decreases to $92,280.
Why is Tesla Making Such an Offer?
The company is likely trying to reduce Cybertruck inventory before the end of the quarter. According to analysts, there are over 3,500 units of this electric car in Tesla’s inventory. This is far from the first time the company has offered 0% financing—a similar promotion was already available for the Model 3 in April.
Despite the significant hype around the Cybertruck in 2023, its sales turned out to be much lower than expected. Instead of the planned 250,000 per year, less than 50,000 units were sold, which is significantly different from Elon Musk’s statements about million-unit volumes. Perhaps the current promotion is an attempt to increase demand and stimulate sales ahead of new quarterly reports.
