This bright green Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 was sold with a mileage of only 21 kilometers.
The Dodge company released a limited series of 3,300 Demon 170 cars, each producing 1,025 horsepower.
During the auction, the car went for $145,000, which is $20,000 over its initial price of $125,041.
At one time, these Challenger SRT Demon 170 models were snapped up for sums exceeding $250,000. It was one of the last and most powerful versions of the legendary Challenger, so the high demand was not surprising. However, by the end of last year, prices had dropped significantly – specimens with minimal mileage were estimated at $100,000–$130,000.
Now the situation is gradually changing, although it is still far from previous records. After a recent sale of the same car in Sublime Green color for $126,000 at the Bring a Trailer auction, another specimen with a mileage of only 21 km found a new owner for $145,000. Perhaps the first owner regrets a little not selling the car earlier when prices were at their peak.
This Demon 170 belonged to a dealer from Tennessee since its release and was never in private hands. With a mileage of only 21 km, it was practically unused.
The manufacturer limited the production of this model to 3,300 copies worldwide, and this car has serial number 0342. Protective films are still preserved on the steering wheel and driver’s seat, and the interior with a combination of leather and Alcantara looks perfect.

With such technical characteristics as the Demon 170, it’s a pity that many of these cars will remain “garage queens.” Its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine produces up to 1,025 hp on E85 fuel, and the torque reaches 1,281 Nm – this car is made for fast driving, not for storage.
Of course, for collector cars, this is common practice. When you spend over $100,000, you want to preserve the investment – minimum mileage and perfect condition. But for those who appreciate real driving, it’s sad to see such cars being used not for their intended purpose.
