by Military personnel from the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade demonstrated the operation of a rather rare mortar in the Armed Forces of Ukraine – a 240 mm caliber. This type of weapon was first introduced into service back in 1950 and is now effectively used by our defenders. The M-240 mortar has small dimensions – 6350x2430x2210 mm. For its transportation, a light yet reliably protected armored vehicle IVECO LMV is used, which we mentioned earlier.
As for the characteristics of the mortar, the length of its barrel is 5.34 meters. The high-explosive mine 53-F-864 has a mass of 130.7 kilograms.
