Leak Reveals Unique Design of Future Supercar from Brabus

New Brabus Project Named Bodo 77

The German tuning atelier Brabus is working on one of its most ambitious cars, which is likely to be named Bodo 77. Until recently, it was known only from a few darkened teaser images that revealed almost nothing.

However, thanks to a Reddit user, the world found out what the German experts are working on. At the end of last week, a user who claims to work in a German paint shop, which Brabus often involves in painting its new models, took several photos of a mysterious two-door car and posted them, asking for help in identification.

Unknowingly, it was the Bodo 77 — a car that Brabus was clearly not yet ready to show to the world. The original post was quickly deleted, and the user even deleted their account, but the internet never forgets, and the original photos quickly appeared elsewhere.

Resemblance to Mercedes-AMG SL 63 and Radical Changes

Looking from the front, it seems that the Bodo 77 is based on the current Mercedes-AMG SL 63, but with significant changes made. The shape of the headlights looks familiar, but everything else, including the hood and fenders, looks unique. However, the rear is even more dramatic.

The new Brabus has almost nothing in common with the SL 63, adopting a long-tail design with an extended rear glass, trunk lid, and fenders. It also features its own carbon fiber trunk lid and a unique rear panel made of carbon fiber. Among other impressive elements are complex LED rear lights and a quad exhaust.

Previous Brabus Projects Based on SL and Expected Specifications

This is not the first time Brabus has used the current SL as a basis for its projects. At the end of 2024, they introduced the Rocket GTS — a “shooting brake” version of the SL with an upgraded 4.5-liter bi-turbo V8 producing 1000 hp and 1620 Nm of torque. It can be assumed that the Bodo 77 will receive similarly incredible performance figures.

The development of the Bodo 77 demonstrates how far tuning ateliers are willing to go in reimagining production models, transforming them into practically entirely new cars with unique design and extreme technical characteristics. This information leak only fuels interest in the official premiere, as it promises a combination of Mercedes luxury with Brabus’s radical approach to speed and style.
