From March 10 to 14, the streets of Barcelona were used for testing the driverless vehicle Robominibus. Passengers could use the innovative service on a circular route with four stops. This project was implemented by WeRide, a global leader in the field of autonomous driving, in collaboration with Renault Group, Beti, and Masif. It was the first test drive of such a level-four autonomy driverless shuttle in Spain.
In January 2025, WeRide announced a trial launch of its driverless vehicles in Europe. Initially, they appeared in Switzerland, specifically at Zurich Airport, and then expanded to the territory of France, in the Drôme region.
