Xiaomi Sets Another Record at the Nürburgring and Releases Exclusive Car Version

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Sets a New Record at the Nürburgring

Xiaomi continues to impress the automotive world. Less than a year after its first record, their prototype, driven by pilot David Pittard, improved the result by a full 24 seconds. For comparison, the previous record was 6:46.87.

Record Details

The new time of 6:22.091 allowed the SU7 Ultra to overtake the Lotus Evija X prototype (6:24.04) and secure the third spot among the fastest cars at the Nürburgring. The first two places still belong to the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo (5:19.55) and the Volkswagen ID.R (6:05.33).

This is not just a fast electric car – it’s a machine that forces a re-evaluation of the capabilities of the Chinese auto industry.

Special Editions to Celebrate the Achievement

Xiaomi announced two limited series:

  • Track Package (100,000 yuan) – improved battery system, updated braking and suspension, top speed of 350 km/h.
  • Nürburgring Edition (814,900 yuan) – safety roll cage instead of rear seats, aerodynamic refinements, limited production of 100 units.

Under the hood of both versions are three electric motors with a combined power of 1,527 hp, making the SU7 Ultra one of the most powerful production electric cars in the world. This result is particularly impressive given that Xiaomi is a relatively new player in the automotive market. Their success on the legendary German track speaks not only to their technological potential but also to the company’s serious ambitions in the high-performance segment.
