How American Teenagers Imagine the Future of Chrysler

Winners of the Stellantis Design Contest

Stellantis has announced the winners of its annual Drive for Design contest, where high school students had to create a concept car of their dreams for the Chrysler brand. Although fewer than 30 students participated, the winners’ works are impressive in their creativity.

First place was taken by 11th-grader Ryan Panizzoli from Michigan with his Chrysler Quantum development. His concept combines elements of luxury cars from the 1930s with modern technologies, such as quantum computing and optical fibers in the body.

“Chrysler Quantum is the pinnacle of innovation and sophisticated design,” the winner describes his work.

Awards for Talented Designers

As a reward, Panizzoli will receive a summer internship at the Ram design studio, an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil, and the opportunity to be a judge at the EyesOn Design auto show. The second and third prize winners – Felix Bukaro and Owen Bronson – will also receive valuable prizes and the opportunity to interact with Stellantis designers.

Bukaro’s concept resembles a fighter jet cockpit with a central driver position, while Bronson’s work is a modern interpretation of a sports car that echoes the 2005 Firepower concept.

This contest annually discovers new names in the world of automotive design. Despite the small number of participants this year, the quality of the work indicates the great potential of young talents. Stellantis continues to support young designers, offering them unique opportunities for professional growth in an industry that is constantly changing under the influence of new technologies.
