New BMW Speedcross Concept: Unique Design Based on the Speedtop
BMW has often experimented with design in recent years, releasing models that provoke controversial reactions. However, the new Speedcross concept, created by digital artist Theottle, could be an exception. It combines elements of the exclusive Speedtop with a more mass-market SUV format.
The Xiaomi YU7 was used as the basis for the renders, but its design has been so reworked that its origin is hard to recognize. Key Speedtop elements, such as narrow LED headlights, low-profile radiator grilles, and smooth body lines, add sophistication to the concept.

The rear of the Speedcross looks particularly impressive thanks to its dynamic design. The body-colored rear diffuser emphasizes the sporty character without overloading the exterior. This concept could become an alternative to less successful models, such as the XM, which, according to rumors, will not get a second generation.
Although the Speedcross remains just a concept, it demonstrates BMW’s potential in creating elegant SUVs. Using elements from exclusive models in the mass market segment could attract new buyers. Considering the brand’s trend towards bold decisions, a similar design could appear in future production models.
