The full-scale Russian invasion did not stop luxury car enthusiasts from Ukraine. In 2022, their sales set a new record. Deputies were not shy to purchase expensive cars either — this is evidenced by a new investigation from Bihus.info.
According to journalists’ calculations, after February 24, 2022, members of parliament have spent a total of at least 1.3 million dollars on expensive cars. Here are the cars that were added to the deputies’ fleet:
- Iryna Allahverdiyeva (Servant of the People) bought a 2021 Mercedes-Benz S500L. According to her, the car cost a million hryvnias, although the actual prices for this car start at 4.4 million UAH;
- Oleksandr Horobets (Servant of the People) appeared in a 2017 Mercedes-Benz S560 worth $70,000. The car is registered to his driver;
- A Lexus NX300H (from $40,000) and a hybrid Volvo XC90 (from $55,000) were registered to the father of deputy Mykola Galushko (Servant of the People);
- Margarita Shol (Servant of the People) was seen in a 2019 BMW M760Li worth from $97,000.
- Olha Vasilevska-Smahliuk (Servant of the People) bought a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee in July for 1.8 million hryvnias;
- Yevhen Bragar (Servant of the People) imported a wrecked Lexus CT200h from the USA for $3,250;
- A new Mercedes-AMG G63 worth from $216,000 was registered to the son of deputy Yevhen Shevchenko (independent, ex-Servant of the People);
- Artem Dmytruk (ex-Servant of the People) drives a Range Rover worth at least $35,000;
- Anatoliy Urbansky (For the Future) drove to the Verkhovna Rada in a 2019 Range Rover Autobiography, registered to his wife. And on January 7, 2023, a new Mercedes-AMG G63 was registered to her;
- A new Lexus LX500d worth $123,000 and two Toyota Land Cruiser 300s worth at least $90,000 each were registered to the uncle of deputy Suto Mamoyan (ex-OPZZh).
