The tuning company Nismo, a subsidiary of Nissan, has begun producing ‘old new’ sports cars Nissan R32 Skyline GT-R. Essentially, you are buying a time capsule – an old classic car, but practically new, with no mileage.

However, becoming the owner of a ‘time machine’ is not a cheap pleasure, nor is the process of its production. The fact is that specialists from Nissan Nismo take a donor (more precisely, the client should provide it) and dismantle it entirely, after which they conduct not restoration, but rather ‘reproduction’ of the model according to the approved factory standard.

As stated on Nismo’s official YouTube channel, the customer can choose any color. As for the technical components, the 2.6-liter twin-turbo engine ‘RB26DETT’, like the body, undergoes a complete rebuild.
How much does it cost to buy such a Skyline? Excluding the cost of the donor (which is no small amount), Nismo charges ‘from 45 thousand dollars’ for the ‘rebuild’ of the car. But! A fully restored car, like the one depicted in this video, costs about 45 million yen (417,000 dollars). Expensive? Well, take a look at the process itself…
