At the time of its appearance, the Nissan 300ZX Z31 amazed with its sleek wedge-shaped design with pop-up headlights. By the way, for the 80s, its aerodynamics were excellent: the drag coefficient was 0.30.

The Nissan sports car was offered as a coupe or targa with removable roof panels.

Interestingly, the car was offered in two length options – 4410 and 4605 mm. In the latter case, the car was a four-seater.

Options included naturally aspirated and turbocharged V6 engines with a 3.0 L displacement and power ranging from 165 to 240 hp. The 228 hp version depicted on the insert accelerated to 100 km/h in 7 seconds and reached a top speed of 240 km/h.

Choices included a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.

By the way, turbo versions were equipped with a digital dashboard, adaptive dampers, and an alert system reminding about unlocked doors and headlights left on.

By 1989, almost 330 thousand Nissan 300ZX Z31 coupes were produced. This is an excellent result for a sports car.
