For One and a Half Million Dollars, Five People Will Be Able to Own a Ferrari That Dreams of Becoming a Supra

Revival of a Legend

Many years have passed since the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano was the flagship grand tourer from Maranello. Its era gave way to the F12 Berlinetta, 812 Superfast, and now the 12Cilindri. However, this did not stop the British company Talos from reviving it as a limited series of only five cars, meticulously modernized.

Some might think the car’s appearance approaches the style of tuned Toyota Supra Mk4s from the 1990s, but Talos insists that the XXT model was inspired by the track-focused Ferrari 599XX, while retaining the ability for daily use on public roads.

Unique Characteristics

The car makes a strong impression thanks to a kit of redesigned carbon fiber parts, which include a splitter, canards, wider wings, a new hood, side air intakes, a modified rear diffuser, and a fixed rear spoiler that is hard to miss.

The more aggressive aerodynamics and 20-inch forged wheels give the Castriot-designed Ferrari a race-ready look, without crossing into the eccentricity level of Mansory.

Furthermore, the five future owners will be able to personalize their Talos XXT to their taste, choosing individual liveries, matte or glossy carbon finishes, and special interior trim. There is also an option to install a roll cage and a modern multimedia system.

Technical Improvements

Under the body, the Talos XXT has received an Ohlins suspension, which, according to the manufacturer, provides a “refined and comfortable driving experience,” despite the race-ready appearance.

The naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 engine now produces 674 hp, which is 63 hp more than the standard 599 GTB. This makes it more powerful than the GTO and Aperta versions, but slightly less powerful than the 599XX.

According to Talos, the XXT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 330 km/h, same as the original.

Additional Options

For those who want more, Talos offers additional upgrades for the engine, transmission, and exhaust system. The modification is available for both right-hand and left-hand drive cars, as well as for models with a manual gearbox.

Jamie Twaites, Managing Director of Talos Vehicles, noted that work on the project lasted over two years and took about 400 hours of development.

Project Cost

This level of detail is reflected in the price, which starts from £850,000, excluding the cost of the base car. In fact, the Talos XXT costs more than twice as much as a new Ferrari 12Cilindri, but exclusivity is rarely cheap.

This project demonstrates how classic models can find new life thanks to modern technologies and an individual approach. The transformation of the Ferrari 599 GTB into a road-legal race car highlights the trend towards personalization and uniqueness in the automotive world, where owners are willing to invest significant funds to create something special.
