In fact, even wealthy Ukrainians have been actively importing “beaters” from America lately. It makes sense, why pay, say, 400,000 for a new McLaren when you can buy a supercar with minimal damage and low mileage for 100-150,000, for example? Just in the last few months, several damaged Porsches, McLarens, and other sports cars have been imported to Ukraine for further restoration by local craftsmen. But how cheap can elite “beaters” be in the US?
Here are three vivid examples:
Ferrari FF
Once in American showrooms, this Ferrari cost $300,000 (even more here, of course). This particular example doesn’t even have visible damage, and the mileage is only 3,000 miles! What’s the catch? It’s a “flooded” car… and not operable.
Otherwise – an almost new car. Almost.
Aston Martin Vanquish
Another flood-damaged car with no visible body damage. New, it cost almost $150,000 in the US, but this example with 17,000 miles on it will be yours for just 20,000. A must-buy!
