For significant speeding violations, car confiscation is proposed

Vaccination is vaccination, and fines are scheduled. This conclusion arises from the statement of Deputy Minister of Justice Andrey Gaychenko. According to him, the confiscation of cars from debtors exceeding speed limits in cities will begin in Kharkiv (where recently the loudest and fastest accidents have occurred).

Then the initiative will be implemented in Kyiv, and subsequently throughout Ukraine. The provisional ‘response figure’ chosen is a speed exceeding 150 km/h. The Enforcement Service will, with legal grounds, initiate and conduct, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs employees, confiscations for the debts of such ‘speeding’ violators.

Simply put, the State Enforcement Service will confiscate vehicles from drivers who do not pay fines for significant speeding on city highways.

In general, it smells of populism and idiocy. Starting from the idea of confiscation for non-payment and ending with the figure of 150 km/h, considering that crash tests are conducted at 64 km/h. And here it is 150…
