Designer Enoch Gonzalez has presented a digital reincarnation of the Mitsubishi Eclipse in a coupe body, paying tribute to the second generation of this model from 1994. The aggressive concept, inspired by the classic, combines retro aesthetics with modern proportions and detailing.
Modernity and Heritage in Design
The front of the car is adorned with slim LED headlights, aerodynamic spoilers, and powerful air intakes. The profile retains the characteristic Eclipse silhouette with an arched roofline that smoothly flows into the rear. The full-width rear light panel is reminiscent of the model’s second generation, and its segmented graphics are associated with the phases of a lunar eclipse.
Designer Enoch Gonzalez is already known for his digital interpretations of such Mitsubishi icons as the EVO XI and Pajero.
Technical Aspects of the Concept
Gonzalez proposes using the platform and powertrain from the Nissan Z for the project’s implementation, which would be possible thanks to the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. In this case, the concept could receive a bi-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 400 hp, rear or all-wheel drive, and a manual or automatic transmission.

Despite Mitsubishi’s clear focus on electrified crossovers, nostalgia for the Eclipse among fans remains strong.
