Zagato reimagines the most beautiful modern Alfa Romeo, but it’s probably not this model

New Zagato concept based on the Alfa Romeo 8C

At the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este exhibition in Italy, a unique concept by Zagato, based on the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, will debut. This model, which appeared 18 years ago, is still considered one of the most beautiful cars in the world. Zagato, known for its exclusive design solutions, is preparing a surprise for fans.

The project’s name — 8C Doppiacoda Zagato — translates to “double tail,” hinting at possible changes to the rear of the car. Although there are no official images yet, some speculate that Zagato will use a similar approach as in its previous Alpine A110 AGTZ Twin Tail model.

This car will be presented in the concept and prototype category, confirming its uniqueness.

It remains unclear whether this car was commissioned by a private client or if Zagato developed it independently for future sale. Answers to these questions will be revealed this week during the exhibition at Lake Como.

Despite the lack of official details, this project has generated significant interest. The Alfa Romeo 8C has always been a symbol of style, and Zagato has a reputation as a master at enhancing the beauty of cars. This collaboration will likely become another striking example of Italian design artistry.
