Information has emerged about the new Skoda Karoq RS. The charged Skoda crossover is likely to be presented in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and then it will go on sale for about 40,000 euros.
Unlike its older brother Skoda Kodiaq RS, the car will receive not a diesel, but a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine, familiar from the Volkswagen Golf R and Cupra Ateca. According to AutoBild, its power will be 300 hp, and the maximum torque is 380 Nm. That is, this is the most powerful Skoda in history.
The Skoda Karoq RS will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in about 5.5 seconds. It will feature a 6-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission and will be available exclusively with all-wheel drive. Adaptive shock absorbers will also be available. The sporty Skoda crossover can be distinguished by its body kit and increased front air intake. The interior will feature sports seats and a steering wheel.
