The front part of the Skoda Rapid 2020 is updated in the style of the Scala hatchback – with a large radiator grille and chevron-shaped LED headlights. The hood and trunk door are new.

In the cabin, the steering wheel and some switches have been replaced. More expensive versions come with a virtual dashboard and a touchscreen with a diagonal of 6.5 or 8 inches. 
The basic configuration of the Skoda Rapid now includes air conditioning and 2 USB ports, and for an additional fee, a heated steering wheel, automatic braking systems, and driver fatigue monitoring are offered for the first time. 
The naturally aspirated 1.6-liter engine with 90 or 110 hp is equipped with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, and the 1.4-liter 125-hp turbo engine is mated with a 7-speed DSG robot.
