Texas resident poses as a buyer and annoys sellers with unrestrained test drives for views

Videos have started appearing on Instagram showing a man behaving aggressively behind the wheel of exotic cars. This individual looks like an ordinary buyer, convincing dealers to allow him to take a test drive. After this, he attempts to intimidate salespeople by performing dangerous tricks on the road. Test drives are an important opportunity for potential buyers to experience a car before purchasing. Unfortunately, not everyone who pretends to be a buyer is genuinely interested in buying.

It seems some people are only interested in social media fame. One such person is Ahmer Saeed, who posts videos of risky driving during test drives. In these videos, the driver often puts salespeople in awkward and potentially dangerous situations, neglecting the cars he is testing. The driver, who hides his face in the videos, regularly rents high-performance cars from various dealers in Texas for test drives. Posing as a real buyer, he engages in financial conversations before asking for the keys and going for a ride.

This move has allowed him to get behind the wheel of high-performance, expensive cars from brands like Chevrolet, Dodge, Mercedes-AMG, Audi, Porsche, and Lamborghini. In each case, the salesperson joins him in the ride, hoping for a calm test drive. Instead, they end up experiencing a high-speed, adrenaline-filled trial. The driver can be seen doing donuts, sharp starts, and fast races, not caring about the car, the passenger, or other road users. Most of these tricks he performs with one hand on the steering wheel while filming the actions with the other on his phone.

And if that wasn’t enough, the videos often contain racist and derogatory captions targeted at the salespeople. Speaking with a local dealer, it was revealed that Saeed once drove an Audi R8 for over two and a half hours, reaching speeds of up to 160 miles per hour (258 km/h) on the highway while the salesperson feared for their life. In some cases, dealership employees asked Saeed to stop the car immediately, while others had to endure his wild tricks. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries. However, prolonged stunts and aggressive acceleration can damage the cars, leaving the dealerships or future owners to pay that price.

A TV channel reported that they spoke with at least a dozen dealerships featured in Saeed’s videos. Most just shrugged off the unacceptable behavior, calling it just another case of a ‘bad customer.’ Only two dealers warned about the blogger’s irresponsible driving on Instagram, but none filed an official complaint. The situation has escalated to the point where the Texas Auto Dealers Association issued a warning about Saeed last summer. Despite this, he continues to upload similar driving videos on Instagram, concealing the driver’s identity. When CBS Texas reached out to Saeed for comment, he did not respond.

However, the report states that he recently posted a video mentioning the scandal. In it, he does not explicitly state that he is the driver in question. Instead, he claims that ‘the cars are perfectly fine, they run well, so there’s been no proof of vehicle damage.’

We hope that someone, whether the police or an interested dealership, will take this seriously.
