by A rare BMW L7 limousine based on the 7-Series E38 has appeared for sale in Ukraine. This is an extended version of the model, which was produced in a limited run in the late 1990s. This is reported by auto blogger Roma Urraco.
The BMW L7 features a wheelbase extended by 25 cm compared to the standard “seven”. The total length of the car is 5.37 m. Thanks to this, rear-seat passengers receive significantly more space and a level of comfort approaching that of classic limousines.
BMW L7 E38: specifications and rarity of the model
The model was produced from March 1997 to July 2001. During this period, only 899 such cars rolled off the assembly line.
All BMW L7s were equipped exclusively with the flagship M73B54 engine. This is a 5.4-liter petrol V12 with 326 horsepower. At the time of its launch, the base price of the model in 1997 was 246 thousand German marks.
BMW limousine in Ukraine: how many such cars are there
According to available information, until recently there were only three examples of the BMW L7 in Ukraine. One of them was previously used by Ukrainian businessman Dmytro Firtash.
Recently, several more such cars have been imported into the country, including the example currently offered for sale. The car is being offered to private buyers.
