The new BMW X7 2019 is finally fully unveiled in official photos. The biggest BMW crossover will be officially presented at the end of November at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and its sales will begin in March. The BMW X7 can be purchased at a price starting from $74,000.
Design of BMW X7 2019
The BMW X7 crossover reaches 5151 mm in length, 2000 mm in width, and 1805 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3105 mm. Like the smaller BMW X5 2019, it is built on the modular CLAR platform.
In terms of design, the car almost completely repeats the pre-production concept BMW X7 iPerformance. It features an unusually large BMW grille and narrow LED headlights. Also noteworthy are the small angles of the roof pillars.
Interior and equipment of BMW X7 2019
The interior trim combines leather, wood, and aluminum. It features a virtual instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Interestingly, the multimedia system is complemented by a «personal assistant» — an AI capable of having a short conversation.
The BMW crossover is offered in 6 and 7-seat configurations, meaning instead of a second-row bench, you can opt for two electrically adjustable and heated seats. With three rows of seats, there is a 326-liter trunk, which increases to 1376 liters in the five-seat configuration and to 2560 liters in the two-seat setup. The trunk door features an electric drive.
The base equipment of the BMW X7 includes a keyless entry system (controlled via smartphone), four-zone climate control, a panoramic roof, an audio system with 10 speakers, and adaptive cruise control. Systems for automatic braking, traffic sign recognition, lane control, and «blind» spot monitoring are also mandatory.
In the top-end BMW X7 xDrive 50i, there is also a parking autopilot and a semi-autonomous driving system. An optional extra is the world’s first five-zone climate control.
Specifications of BMW X7 2019
Offered are 3.0-liter gasoline turbo engines (340 hp) and 4.4-liter ones (462 hp), as well as 3-liter turbo diesels with a power of 265 and 400 hp. The most powerful BMW X7 accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.
Mandatory features include an 8-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, and pneumatic suspension. As options, four-wheel steering and active stabilizers are offered.
