Автор: Surely you’ve read about the electric Zaporozhets, which was created through the efforts of Odessa residents. But in reality, at one time there existed not only an electric Tavria, but also an electric Zaporozhets ZAZ-968.
The electric Zaporozhets was created back in 1973 (!) at the Zaporozhye Machine-Building Institute. And although there is very little data on the Ukrainian electric car, and only one photograph has survived to this day, according to history, the electric ZAZ was equipped with a 4-kilowatt electric motor. It allowed the car to travel up to 100 km without recharging and accelerated the car to 60 km per hour.
Also, according to rumors, the electric Zhuzhik could reach its top speed in just 8 seconds. For those times, a pretty good indicator, and even more so for a Zaporozhets. But we know well about the homemade electric ZAZ, created by an Odessa craftsman. The car even took part in the Electric Marathon electric car rally.
By the way, it recently became known about an equally interesting ZAZ tuning. The Humpbacked Zaporozhets was transformed into a travel car with a barbecue trailer.
