The first photos of the 2020 Kia Optima have been presented. The new generation of the model goes on sale in December in South Korea (where the sedan is known as the K5).
The Kia sedan has grown to 4905 mm in length and 1860 mm in width, while the wheelbase has increased to 2850 mm. Meanwhile, the car has been lowered to 1445 mm.
The new Kia Optima has become a four-door coupe — like the Audi A7, only cheaper. It has a sleeker roof and increased roof pillar tilt angles. The front end also became more expressive with curved LED headlights.
Interior images haven’t been shown, but renderings reveal that the 2020 Kia Optima will feature a virtual instrument panel and an enlarged touchscreen. The engines haven’t been announced yet, although there are rumors that the sedan will receive a new 2.5-liter 198-horsepower engine from the Hyundai Sonata.
