At the Los Angeles Auto Show, the updated 2020 Toyota Camry will be presented. The popular Toyota sedan has received an all-wheel-drive version for the first time since 1991.
The all-wheel-drive system has been shared with the Toyota RAV4 crossover. If necessary, it can transfer up to 100% of the torque to the rear axle. This sedan has become 75 kg heavier.
Currently, the all-wheel-drive 2020 Toyota Camry is only offered with a 2.5-liter 205-horsepower engine. All-wheel-drive will also be available for the larger Avalon sedan.
Toyota hopes that the Camry 4X4 will sell well in regions with snowy winters. By the way, the all-wheel-drive Camry is already sold in Japan, but there it’s completely different – it’s a hybrid with an electric motor on the rear axle.
