Official photos of the new generation BMW X5 M and X6 M have been presented. The BMW high-performance crossovers will go on sale by the end of the year with prices starting at $105,000 for the X5 M and $108,000 for the X6 M.
As before, the BMW X6 M and X5 M are equipped with a 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, but the power has increased to 600 hp in the standard version and 625 hp in the Competition. Both versions have a peak torque of 750 Nm.
The acceleration to 100 km/h takes 3.9 seconds in the regular variant and 3.8 seconds in the Competition.
The maximum speed is limited to 250 or 290 km/h.
The new BMW X5 M and X6 M have received an upgraded 8-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is complemented with an active differential. Adaptive dampers and active anti-roll bars are also mandatory. The brake diameter is 395 mm at the front and 380 mm at the rear.
You can recognize the 2020 BMW X5 M and X6 M by the enlarged front air intakes, side gills, and body kit.
There is also a curved rear roof spoiler and four exhaust pipes. The standard model comes with 21-inch wheels, while the Competition model features 22-inch rear wheels.
The interior features a new steering wheel and gear lever, as well as sports seats. Optional carbon inserts are offered, while the standard package includes a head-up display, electric seat adjustment, and power tailgate.
