Koenigsegg has unveiled the first images of the new RAW supercar. This is still just a project, but very original and atypical for the Swedish brand. The point is not only in the chopped, wedge-shaped design in the spirit of 70s chisel cars, although it is also uncharacteristic for Koenigsegg. The very concept of the supercar is different – for example, it has a three-seat interior with a central steering wheel, like in the McLaren F1.
If all Koenigseggs are incredibly powerful and can reach 400 km/h, then the RAW is different. It is equipped with a 700-horsepower three-cylinder turbo engine from Koenigsegg Gemera.
Although the power is less than that of its siblings, the Koenigsegg RAW weighs only 700 kg. And that means it will be much more interesting to drive.
For now, the RAW remains a project, and it is unclear whether the Swedish supercar will go into production.
But if it gets the green light, it will be the most accessible Koenigsegg.
