For 25 years, Audi A8 never had a high-powered RS version. However, they planned to create one and even built a prototype of the Audi RS8. No one knew about it until recently when the unique car was unveiled to the public at an exhibition of charged Audis.
The one-of-a-kind Audi RS8 sedan was created in 2013 based on the previous generation car. Like all RS-designated modifications, it captivates with a wide grille, body kit, and extended fenders. 20-inch wheels are also installed.
The interior is decorated with leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber. Naturally, the charged Audi sedan received sport seats and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. The engine start button is designed in Lamborghini style.
It is known that under the hood of the Audi RS8 hides a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo. Its power is unknown, but it is clearly more than 520 hp — exactly how much the most powerful Audi S8 Plus developed. Rumor has it about 560 hp, like the Audi RS7.
Audi does not explain why they did not release the RS8. Perhaps the company’s management feared low demand for the model, given that even the S8 was not very actively sold.
