A very rare 1969 Mercedes 600 Pullman has been put up for auction at RM Sotheby’s. The Mercedes 600 of the first generation itself is already a rarity, as only 2677 cars were produced. For those who found it not exclusive enough, the Pullman limousine was offered.
Only 304 of these cars were produced, and among their owners were Mao Zedong, Pablo Escobar, Saddam Hussein, Josip Broz Tito, and Kim Il Sung. Jeremy Clarkson also has a Mercedes 600.
The Mercedes limousine is 6240 mm long with a wheelbase of 3900 mm. Its seven-seater interior is trimmed with leather and wood, and equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, an audio system, and a minibar.

Under the hood is a 6.3-liter 250-horsepower V8 with fuel injection. With a 4-speed automatic transmission, the top speed was 200 km/h. A hydropneumatic suspension ensures ride comfort.
The starting price of the Mercedes has not been disclosed, but it will be at the level of supercars, as over $40,000 has been spent on the repair and maintenance of the limousine in the past few years.
