In the American state of Illinois, an almost destroyed 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was discovered. Strangely enough, this wreckage has considerable value since this car was once used by the legendary Hollywood actor Steve McQueen. 
Steve McQueen drove this Pontiac Firebird in the movie «The Hunter.» This is the last film featuring the actor, as he died of cancer in 1980. Although the Pontiac is not as famous as McQueen’s Ford Mustang Bullitt, it is still valuable. 
The car’s dilapidated condition is explained by the fact that it was blown up.
According to the script, the car is destroyed in a spectacular crash. By the way, during the filming, two Pontiac Firebirds were blown up. 
Initially, the car remains were planned to be scrapped, but a farmer who assisted during the filming decided to save the muscle car and hid it in a barn for 40 years. Now, its restoration is being considered.
