A Range Rover was towed to a penalty parking lot in Kyiv. The expensive SUV was seized due to the owner’s multiple traffic violations and refusal to pay fines.
More precisely, the owner accumulated as many as 147 fines totaling 130 thousand hryvnias. Deputy Minister of Justice Andrey Gaychenko stated that this is some kind of record for Kyiv.
Moreover, the Range Rover was speeding through Kyiv at 167 km/h. Now the car will be returned only after all fines are paid, as well as costs for towing and storage at the penalty parking lot.
Seven cars have already been seized in Kyiv from frequent violators who refuse to pay fines. Previously, cars were also seized from debtors in Kharkiv, and next in line are Dnipro and Odesa. Across Ukraine, a total of 150 speed enthusiasts who do not pay fines for speeding have been counted.
