In California, the rarest Porsche Tempo Mikafa motorhome from 1955 was sold at auction. A hefty $187,000 was paid for it. Unique Porsche camper van sold at auction for the price of a new Cayenne Turbo

The Porsche motorhome is indeed unique. Mikafa produced only three of these machines, and for their time, they were advanced.

The motorhome is based on the rear-engine chassis of the Porsche 356 sports car.

The car has an opposed engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. The body is made of aluminum, and the windows are plexiglass.

By the standards of the 50s, the Porsche Tempo Mikafa is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. For example, the interior features an Electrolux refrigerator — at the time, this was a luxury.

There is also a kitchen with a gas stove, sofas, a folding table, and even a bathroom.

All of this is well preserved, and there is even a branded set of dishes.
