An extremely rare 1988 Ferrari Testarossa Pininfarina Spider convertible has been listed for auction in Monaco. Such cars were produced in single-digit numbers, making them highly valuable among collectors. The estimated price of the lot is €1.2–1.5 million. This is reported by RM Sotheby’s.

The Ferrari Testarossa model is one of the most famous Italian supercars of the 1980s–1990s. A total of 7,177 such cars were produced, but almost all of them were coupes. The open-top Spider versions were created individually by the Pininfarina coachbuilding atelier, so their number is limited to a few examples.

The convertibles were built to specific customer orders. Among the known owners of such cars were Fiat president Gianni Agnelli and the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah. It is precisely due to the limited production and historical owners that these Testarossa versions are considered among the most desirable for collectors.
