Renault Duster is one of the most popular crossovers (and more) in Ukraine. For many years and months, it has been in the TOP-10 best-selling cars both in the new car market and in the secondary market. However, until recently, a Duster pickup known as the Duster Oroch could not be found in our country.

Officially buying a Renault Duster pickup in Ukraine is impossible. Even with the necessary amount, the Duster Oroch is simply not imported here. The main reason is that affordable Renault models, known in Europe under the Dacia brand, are imported to us from Romania, where they are produced for the European market. Meanwhile, the cargo-passenger Duster pickup is the work of the Brazilian subdivision Renault Design America Latina.

The four-door Renault Duster pickup first appeared in 2015 and over the years has become a bestseller in the South American budget pickup market. Before the pandemic, it was planned that the second-generation Duster Oroch would become a global model and enter the North African and Eastern European markets in 2020, but this did not happen. The most you can find nearby in Europe is a 2-door Duster pickup, and even that is rare.

The price of the Oroch in Brazil is from 20 thousand dollars (the top version for active recreation is 22 thousand dollars). As for the “Ukrainian” Duster pickup, it was first put up for sale at the beginning of March as a “new and exclusive Renault Duster, the only car in Ukraine and the CIS countries at the moment.” And although the sales announcement quickly became irrelevant (that’s why we didn’t write about the car), the 2019 cargo-passenger crossover-pickup is back on sale. Judging by the license plates, it’s the same car.

What is interesting is that the initial desired price was 34 thousand dollars, but now the price has dropped almost by half – after 18 thousand kilometers (according to the indicated mileage), the unique light pickup can be bought for 21.5 thousand dollars.
